About the role:


Edinburgh Science runs an educational outreach programme called Generation Science that delivers science shows and workshops to over 54,000 primary pupils in schools across Scotland between February and June each year. It is the UK’s largest programme of its kind. We are currently looking for  Performers for our 2025 tour.

About you:

Are you energetic, good with children and enthusiastic about science? Are you looking to gain key experience for your future career in primary education; performing arts or youth work? We are seeking  presenters to conduct engaging science workshops, as well as talented performers to captivate audiences during our science shows in primary schools across Scotland. You will have confident communication skills, a passion for presenting and some experience of working with children. Performance skills and some knowledge of science is desirable but not essential but an interest in learning is a must.

Confident drivers, with at least 1 year driving experience strongly preferred. Applicants must live within a 30-minute commute of Glasgow city centre.

Training sessions and rehearsals will take place between 21 April to 4 May 2025 in Edinburgh.  Training/rehearsals paid currently at £88.20 per full day (+ holiday pay). 

Successful candidates for this post will be required to join the PVG scheme and subject to a criminal check through Disclosure Scotland.
