Pay: £13.45 per hour (approx. 31 weeks)
Hours: 21 hours per week (rising to 28 hours per week for approximately 10 weeks from mid Feb – mid April)

We are currently looking for a Project and Sales Assistant to support our Generation Science and Festival projects.
About the role:
We are seeking a Project and Sales Assistant to provide high-quality sales and administrative support to our organisation. This is an exciting and diverse opportunity focusing on our schools touring programme, Generation Science, and the annual Edinburgh Science Festival. The role is key to the smooth running of our busy programming and operations teams.
You will focus on selling science shows and workshops to schools, providing support for touring performers and supporting the smooth running of the preparation and delivery phases of these projects through administration of project logistics and production needs. This will include procurement of accommodation, travel, consumables and equipment, as well as effective communication with stakeholders and coordination of the print process.

About you:
We are looking for a strong, clear communicator, that can build good relationships with people. Excellent telephone manner, experience of databases / Microsoft Office, administrative and word processing skills are essential. Previous call centre / telesales experience is desirable as is knowledge of the geography of Scotland.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to ensure deadlines and targets are met are also essential.
